We Welcome Rabbi and Mrs Meir Goldwicht visiting from Yeshiva University in New York. Rabbi Meir Goldwicht was born in Israel. He is a Rosh Yeshiva at YU, where he is also the head of the Beit Medrash Program and a teacher at Stern College for Women.
On weeknights, Rabbi Goldwicht gives Shiurim in both Hebrew and English in different subjects throughout the New York City area. He also teaches in many cities in Israel year-round. Rabbi Goldwicht, who is the Joel and Maria Finkle Visiting Israeli Rosh Yeshiva and a Rosh Yeshiva at YU’s undergraduate Yeshiva Program/Mazer School of Talmudic Studies, is a prominent Israeli scholar and educator.
Aside from being the head Rosh Yeshiva at YU’s Irving I. Stone Beit Midrash Program as well, A popular lecturer who delivers over 1,000 inspiring Shiurim every year, Rabbi Goldwicht has been described as an absolute phenomenon by Rabbi Zevulun Charlop for his colorful style that captivates the Yeshiva student body, communities around the United States and in Israel.
Recently, Rabbi Goldwicht was described by President Richard Joel of YU in the terms of A Shiur machine with a heart of gold.
Rabbi Goldwicht received Semicha from the renowned Rabbinic authorities Rabbi Zalman Nehemia Goldberg in 1980, and HaRav HaGaon Betzallel Zolti, zt”l, Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, and Rabbi Ovidyah Yosef, HaRav Rashi of Israel. Rabbi Goldwicht has as well been a Ram at Yeshiva Kerem B’Yavneh.
Rabbi Goldwicht spends his summers as as Camp Mesorah’s Rosh Kollel, Rabbi Goldwicht oversees a Torah learning program for post high school boys which sits in the middle of the Camp Mesorah campus and has extensive contact with Mesorah staff and campers.
