EDOS welcomes Rabbi Etan and Dr. Rebecca Schnall visiting from YU as our Scholars-in-Residence for the entire Shavout.
Rabbi Schnall is a member of the Wexner Kollel Elyon at Yeshiva University. Kollel Elyon at RIETS, a competitive post-graduate fellowship for advanced rabbinic training at Yeshiva University. Rabbi Schnall graduated Yeshiva College Suma Cum Laude as a Golding Distinguished Scholar with a BA in economics in 2005, and was also selected as valedictorian of the Mazer Yeshiva Program. Rabbi Schnall was ordained at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, where he also completed the Wexner Semicha Honors program.
In addition to serving as a Shoel U’Mayshiv at RIETS and as YU’s Shabbat Campus Rabbi, Rabbi Schnall is a Rabbinic Intern at Mt Sinai Shul in Washington Heights. Rabbi Schnall has lectured extensively as a scholar-in-residence in cities across North America and beyond. Rabbi Schnall spends his summers teaching children with debilitating illnesses at Chai Lifeline’s Camp Simcha Special.
Rabbi Schnall and his wife, Dr. Rebecca Schnall, who serves on faculty at Columbia University as an assistant professor at the Columbia University School of Nursing, have studied the laws of Taharat Hamishpacha with dozens of Chassanim and Kallahs in Washington Heights and throughout New York and New Jersey. Together with their three children Chana Esther, Aharon and Baruch, they are thrilled to have the opportunity to join us for the Yom Tov of Shavous and to inspire us with many different Shiurim, Diveri Torah and many more exciting programs for all ages throughout the entire Yom Tov.
